Car Amps

Whether you listen to your car stereo at a conversational level or loud enough that neighboring cars pull up their windows, a car amplifier is recommended to create clean, clear, and crisp sound (regardless of volume). Amps supply the necessary power to produce the quality sound that makes a night and day difference compared to factory car stereo systems.

When researching for amps, you may have come across 2-channel, multi-channel, and mono amps. But, what’s their difference? In short, a 2-channel amp supports and powers a pair of speakers or subwoofers. A multi-channel amp is equipped to power an entire audio system and are the most versatile as they can be used for many applications. Mono amps on the other hand are usually used to power a sub-woofer.

So the type of amp you select all depends on what you want to do. But if you’re looking for the biggest bang for your bank, the one with most versatility, a multi-channel amp is the way to go. And contrary to belief, if you do your research…you can find a multi-channel amp on your amp budget. As always, if you’ve got any questions, feel free to contact me:

Creating cleaner, clearer, & optimized sound in your car

I have to say, there’s something truly therapeutic about listening to music while driving. It’s a time to reflect on your day, tune out stresses, and just let loose. Yet, if music is so powerful, then why do so many drivers continue to settle for poor sound quality? Maybe it’s due to the perceived costs, or not truly tuning into the inferior sound, or just not knowing how to correct common mistakes related to improper installation of after-market systems. Whatever may be the reason, improving the sound quality of a car audio system can actually be achieved quite inexpensively and quickly!

One of the cheapest and easiest things a driver can fix to improve their car’s sound quality are their speakers. Car manufacturers may claim to use “premium” speakers, but the truth of the matter is that they focus on other aspects of a vehicle, such as function and safety. Therefore, to save on costs, they tend to install inexpensive speakers that don’t deliver the optimum sound you deserve. Just by switching out the factory speakers, a driver can hear tighter-bass, clarity, and quickly notice a difference in the songs they listen to everyday.

Replacement speakers are one of the biggest bangs for your buck. Built with a more sophisticated and quality rated design, a new set of 2-way or 3-way speakers can quickly create the clarity and improved sound you’re missing while component speakers can help take your car audio system to the next level of your dreams. Unlike stock speakers, many include multiple drivers such as woofers for the low, tweeters for the highs, and midranges to create audible clarity. In addition, after-market speakers usually are comprised of more advanced cross-over circuits to ensure the right frequencies are going to the right drivers, further resulting in efficiency and greater sound.

Think about it, have you ever noticed that after a while the stock speakers in your car don’t sound the same as when you first bought the vehicle? This can be due to such reasons as the speakers not handling the volume levels pushed or such external factors as high temperatures and humidity. However, after-market speakers are manufactured with more durable materials, resulting with higher resistance to deterioration.

And so, whether you’re looking to improve the quality of your sound for yourself or for competition, speakers by far are the best investments you can make. And contrary to belief, speakers are relatively inexpensive to purchase. You can get a set of speakers for $50 (more or less). As always, if you’ve got any questions, feel free to contact me:
